Looking for a practical way to thank teachers for back to school, holidays, birthdays and more, order a token of appreciation from their wish list!
TEACHER WORK ROOM HELPERS
Our parent volunteers work five days a week in the teacher work room. Hours are very flexible. We help our teachers with cutting, laminating, copying, booklet making and more. We log nearly 1,000 hours per year – taking that responsibility off of our teachers during their planning time. STOCK THE LOUNGE
Interested in showing the staff at Horizon Elementary just how much you appreciate their hard work? Help us stock the staff lounge this year! You can sponsor stocking the lounge with a business or individually. Another great way to help is to join up with other families to stock it up together for a month! Together this year we want to stock the staff lounge monthly with new items! Contact Erinnicholevernon@gmail.com to sign up. How much money does our PTO raise?
Over the last six years we have raised nearly $200,000 – 100% of these funds stay at our school to benefit our kids and teachers by using a self run fundraising system created by our PTO.
When can I join?
We run our membership incentive for the kids from back to school night through the end of September. Classes who reach 100% membership earn great prizes! We do accept memberships through the entire school year.
What do your fundraisers fund?
We run one annual fundraiser every year. There’s nothing to sell. We simply ask for donations to fund teacher requested items and special initiatives that change from year to year.
Can I join the PTO Board?
Absolutely! We hold elections every April and are always looking to add new members to our Board of dream makers! Contact our President, Melissa Lallo Johnson to learn how you can make an impact in the lives of our children and teachers today!
